An old technology challenge of mine has been partially fulfilled. Actually, I came across the solution by LandAirSea purely by accident while checking for new technology products.
This GPS tracking key installs practically anywhere on a vehicle, boat, airplane, or whatever surface you choose. With two AAA lithium batteries installed, instead of alkaline batteries, you would get more than two hours of tracking action per day.
Of course, there could be some mischievous uses for it but, thankfully, it does not provide real-time data on movements and trips because it must be removed later on to be used with Google Earth from a USB port of a computer system.
However, the product fails my challenge for several reasons. First, battery power supply is not renewable, weatherproof, or uninterruptible.
Secondly, it does not provide real-time data. Thirdly, it does not transmit data over any distance, must be removed from the original point of attachment to access the stored data, and could easily be misplaced.
I guess that's back to the drawing board for me again on this issue. anyway, I am still keepng my fingers crossed for a great solution waiting somewhere out there. Right now, it's still in Neverland!
Technology and life have a chicken and egg relationship. Life derives a new meaning from technology, while the living strive to improve technology so that life flourishes safely and healthily... Do indulge awhile: words have an impact!
