Domestic help very much wanted but work for pay

Have you ever used domestic help or had the need to employ one? Actually, it is the other way around: most use and need you! Yes, they usually leave as soon as they have racked up their target wad.

Everybody has a reason for seeking employment. Domestic help primarily do it for the money, period. That would be okay if most of them actually did any work.

My house has hosted a stream of domestic or house helps over the years. Of course, i have to point out that there are also professional domestic servants, who are content to work for life and would happily do nothing else, even when the pay is better.

Some girls or women come to work in order to save enough for an education, a restaurant business, or to look after themselves once their concealed pregnancy becomes a bit too obvious.

Some boys or men have worked because they needed money to set up a laundry or transportation service or business, while yet others want enough to pay for their hospital appendicitis surgery bills, for example.

There are many signs to watch out for when interviewing a new domestic help. The most important are normally their full names and places of residence. A lie in either case is significant! That usually points to what to expect if the contract of employment is executed.

Another point to note is that, after the domestic employee has started work, once you begin to get dissatisfied with or outright irritated by his or her personal habits or attitude to work, it is right then that you should terminate the contract.

Otherwise, it usually gets worse, especially if you show directly or indirectly that their services are indispensable for the time being. Nobody is indispensable and it is only after a replacement comes along that you can determine how good the old one was.

Get your domestic help through a reputable and experienced employment agency with a track record of supplying high quality domestic personnel and that can vouch for their references and personal integrity.

If I am going to spend the equivalent of my total monthly grocery bills on a driver or the equivalent of half of my monthly grocery bills on a domestic servant, I will most assuredly try to see that they work hard for my money and that there are no thieves working for me.

Lastly, employing domestic help is quite a noble and philanthropic gesture. However, be prepared for the ebb and flow because they will surely leave sooner or later and you will have to get used to seeing new faces periodically.

But then, is that not how a fulfilled life is built up by helping out other humans in financial and economic need? Many important men have made respectable women out of ladies trained in such domestic duties.
