Blog Action Day 2008 is to hold on October 15 with a focus on poverty. I will be participating on this blog site this year. Why not join me, too?
Blog Action Day is a noble and selfless idea that encourages all bloggers everywhere to focus on one particular topic on one specific date in order to create enough synergy worldwide to force those in authority to listen long enough to do something towards solving the problem being collectively discussed in Blogland on that action-packed day.
You can participate in three ways towards actualizing the success of October 15, 2008. You can write a blog post for that day, donate money, or promote B.A.D. on your blog or website.
That may not have come off as well as I had intended but, on second thought, I think B.A.D. is an excellent acronym because the theme chosen for Blog Action Day is usually a big, bad problem worldwide that needs to be fixed for everyone to get a better lease on life.
You will agree with me that no problem currently surpasses poverty worldwide in terms of all the wonderful things that people could do if only they had a little money – just as ABBA, the epic Swedish rock group, observed in one of their hit songs decades ago.
