What are the benefits of having a single blog? Some say that you should have a blog for each of your interests in order to focus on each and draw in a niche audience.
That prescription is supposed to earn you tons of money online! Unfortunately, that would happen at the expense of running yourself ragged if you have a lot of interests or hobbies.
Even the newspapers and other hard copy media do not have a separate issue for each segment of their publication - and certainly nobody can divide himself/herself into many parts for different tasks: research has actually shown that humans are very poor at multitasking.
So, my idea is to combine all my blogs into one so that my writing energy can be better focused on all my various interests.
Is it not always better to have a wider audience - especially if you have a message to deliver or just have something to say to like minds? What do you think?
In continuation of today's post made earlier on, I will tell you about the best part about Google's Blogger .xml format for exporting, backing up and saving blogs.
It opens with Internet Explorer - and 'Other' browsers or programs that you may care to choose - so that you can see exactly how two years of blogging content can be reduced to less than 400 kilobytes, even with the color photos!
Yes, that's 400KB. Just simply very neat stuff! Try downloading all that material into a word processing program and tell me how much space would be left on your hard disk or how many gigabytes of CD you used up....
Now I cannot wait for the next wave of Google technology to permit me to slurp up into SurfersBrowse some of my other diverse blogs scattered on various blogging platforms in the blogosphere.
Actually, merging blogs is a very cost effective way to drastically reduce and properly manage the budget associated with aggressively marketing your blog on the Internet.
So, while preparing to create another blog merger, I hope that you will be amused by the following collection of observations and facts....
Toothpaste - tainted with chemical diethylene glycol and bacteria
Farmed fish - traces of banned drugs and pesticides found
Tyres - fault may cause blow-outs
Toys - contain lead or pose choking hazard
Children's jewellery - contains lead
Ceramic heaters - pose fire safety risk

UPDATE: Saturday, December 20, 2008 @3:00 PM:
Unfortunately, I must give up the idea of more blog mergers right now.... Can't have all my eggs in one basket and variety is the spice of life: if, for some presently unknown reasons, Google fails in any way or a major part of my target audience does not like coming to Blogger for any reason, who would read my super-merged blog then?

Stumble It!
