Imagine yourself teaching English in Vietnam among the language corps

Read on, if you see yourself in that scenario or not. You may just learn something new about retraining yourself for a new career in teaching by gaining some experience abroad in order to return home for a better and more rewarding job at home, especially in these hard times after the global economic meltdown literally caused many people their old jobs.

I was very pleased to get the opportunity to write about teaching abroad and to get the chance to sign up for a worthwhile teaching assignment abroad.

I am also especially glad that I am qualified to write about my experience as a private tutor in English.

Yes, I teach an adult, married Muslim woman in order to improve her English language skills.

I, too, have learned something from her. I now know what to focus on during language skills acquisition courses and how to assess language skills better, as well as seeing the influence of a different culture and religion on learning.

When she came to me for help, she could read fluently but could not form her own sentences in English without mixing up her tenses and making basic grammatical errors.

She had been married right from High School to start a family and decided to get private tutoring in order register for a course at the local university and effectively catch up with her former classmates among the fold of university graduates.

I am a United States trained Chemical Engineer but I have always learned to dot my i's and cross my t's, so I was happy to help her improve her conversational and written skills in English when my wife introduced her to me.

I concentrated on the various parts of speech and gave her a present of a textbook on verbs written by an Indian author. Now, she is doing well in her university course in Business Studies.

So, if you, like me, feel inclined to help others improve their verbal and literary proficiency in the English language, I urge you to sign up for training and participating in the LanguageCorp program for teaching english in vietnam.

Yes, actually I meant to say "teaching English in Vietnam". By the way, there are many other locations around the world that you can choose from.

Do not worry because only the largely safer regions are available as destinations for post-training postings.

That is, not to be facetious about a sober issue, Afghanistan, Somalia and Iraq are not among the listed options.

So, sign up as a professional or as a volunteer for a change of scene or career, and for a chance to help others speak English better.
