Have you ever been down and out as well as feeling helpless? I have, several times, in fact. Just today at about seven in the evening, I discovered that we had run out of diesel fuel for the generator.
Yikes! With the public power out, we faced a gloomy night without electricity because the boy in charge of the generator forgot to check the fuel level this morning. Luckily, the service station was still open until nine o'clock, so I could get a refill can filled for use at home!
That experience also brought to mind an interview on CNN last week or so. Becky Anderson of 'Connect the World' was talking to Nigeria's foreign based award-winning author, Chimanmadu Adichie, who, in answering a question about her being lucky not to be hampered in her writing by power failure, replied that her first book was published in Nigeria and so the absence of electricity should not stop anyone from writing!
Well, I guess she had not really thought about that question very well. How would I have published this post without power? Perhaps, I would have written it down on paper and then typed it all up later on - whenever the power came back on?
Certainly, the writing muse would probably have vanished by then. Now I know how someone without original diesel parts would feel when his or her diesel engine literally packs up unexpectedly.
That is why it is always a good idea to go to the best in the diesel parts business. You can always get what you want here if automobile diesel parts are not your main need.
